My Wrekin App - John's story
John Davies has been a tenant with Wrekin Housing since the early 1980s. He currently lives with his family in Dawley and works as a delivery driver for a supermarket.
John used to drive a mile to his local post office to pay his rent – but he now does this at the touch of a button thanks to the My Wrekin App. He was told about the app by one of the Wrekin team after visiting the local office and signed up to it straight away.
John said: “Setting up was really straightforward, you just have to put in your details and it does the rest. I forgot my password at first but someone at the shop was really helpful and reset it for me”
John currently uses the app to pay his rent but it can also be used to access other services too. You can report a repair or any issues you may be having, make a payment and view your account balance and statements.
He added: “I felt really lazy using it at first but it saves me so much time by not having to walk to the Post Office”
Asked if he would recommend the app, John says “I already have! I’ve told all the guys at work. It’s so smooth and easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone, definitely.”
The Wrekin App is available exclusively to Wrekin tenants and can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play by searching for My Wrekin or The Wrekin Housing Group.
