We recognise that people differ in terms of a number of things. Some are protected characteristics that would be challenged under the equality act: gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, race and ethnic origin, religion and belief, marriage and civil partnerships, maternity and paternity and transgender but they also include lifestyle, ability and culture and we don’t believe that any of these should stop someone using our services.

Diversity is all about recognising, accepting and valuing difference rather than being afraid of it, and our services will reflect this.

Stopping discrimination is an important part of our work and we aim to reduce inequality. We expect you, your family and visitors to your home to treat others in the neighbourhood with respect and not to threaten any tenant, neighbour, Group/Trust employee or contractor because of any of the reasons above, or any other reason.
