Update on our services – Monday 17 May 2021
Today marks a milestone in the journey out of lockdown 3 and our Group Chief Executive Wayne Gethings has an update on what that means for Wrekin services.
We will continue to deliver our services in a COVID-secure way and in line with government advice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers, service users and staff. When visiting your home, we will ask if you or anyone in your home is self-isolating, shielding or has symptoms of COVID-19. We also ask everyone to maintain social distancing, this enables our trades to get on with their work in a safe environment while also keeping you safe.
We are starting to re-open cafes for residents in our ShireLiving and extra care schemes. This will be done via a booking system and we will gradually re-open communal spaces in the coming weeks.
We all need to play a role in reducing the spread of COVID-19. Doing this will help protect your family, your community and save lives:
- Hands – Wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds
- Face – Cover your face in indoor settings
- Space – Staying 2m apart from others
A summary of the new government guidelines is available here or visit the gov.uk website for the most up-to-date information on COVID-19.
