Latest Kickstart work placements at Wrekin
The Wrekin Housing Group is proud to be offering further Kickstart work placements to young people in Shropshire and Staffordshire.
The government’s Kickstart programme is for people aged 16 – 24 years, who are currently claiming Universal Credit. The Kickstart Scheme, launched as part of the covid-recovery plan, provides funding to create job placements with employers of all sizes.
Over 20 people have already started placements at Wrekin and we have a further 13 opportunities available in a variety of different roles including:
- Catering Assistant Northfield - Stafford
- Catering Assistant Oakwood - Telford
- Catering Assistant The Coppice - Shrewsbury
- Catering Assistant Ashwood - Oswestry
- Customer Services Chasewood - Cannock
- Customer Services The Coppice - Shrewsbury
- Customer Services Elmwood - Stafford
- Repairs & Maintenance - Telford
- Cleaning Assistant - Telford
- Admin Care & Support - Stafford/Homeworking
- Admin Learning & Development - Telford/Homeworking
- Admin Maintenance Services - Telford
- Care & Support Assistants - Stafford
The paid work placements are for six months and they provide the opportunity of gaining real world work experience, learning new skills and improving prospects of employment following completion of the Kickstart placement.
All applicants must contact their Job Centre Work Coach to find out more. Applications can only be accepted through referrals from the Job Centre.
