Fix the housing crisis - statement

On Thursday 12th December, the public will go to the polls in the General Election.

This year’s British Social Attitudes Survey found that 75% of people believe there is a shortage of affordable housing in their area, and our experience is that there is high demand across Shropshire and Staffordshire.

At Wrekin we want to provide as many high quality homes as possible, to achieve this we have an active development programme that will deliver 500 additional homes each year until 2025, our development programme stimulates the local economy and provides much needed homes making a difference to people’s lives.

We support the National Housing Federation’s call for a £12.8 billion investment each year for a decade in to affordable housing. What will our local parliamentary candidates and their parties do to ensure we #FixTheHousingCrisis?
