Drop in event to offer FREE expert housing and job advice
A new drop in event which aims to offer free housing advice and boost people’s employability prospects and is coming to Market Drayton.
Experts from The Wrekin Housing Group will run the fortnightly drop in sessions at The Festival Drayton Centre, starting from Wednesday 3 November 2021.
Anyone can pop in between 10am and 12pm and get advice and support around all things housing from paying rent and managing tenancies, to finding somewhere to live. The sessions will also cover all things job related - from getting work experience and building skills, to tips for CVs and interviews.
Claire Eccles, Tenancy Support Worker for The Wrekin Housing Group said:
“The advice given is free, confidential, and there is no need to make an appointment. These drop-in sessions are designed to make it easier for people to access the services they may need, or to be directed to agencies who can offer further support.”
Liz Watling, Building Better Opportunities (BBO) Engagement Officer with Wrekin said:
“We understand this may be an anxious time for many people, particularly with the government’s furlough scheme having recently come to an end. We can help with all aspects of employment advice – from job search support, IT training, helping people put together their CVs and interview preparation.”
