C19 update: New National Lockdown - services unaffected - 5 January 2021
Latest Restrictions
A new national lockdown has been introduced following the Prime Minister’s announcement. This means changes for all of us with measures being bought in to restrict social mixing and reduce the spread of Covid-19 in the community.
Wrekin Services
The latest government guidance states that we can continue to deliver services in a covid-safe way so we will be continuing to:
- Repair and maintain properties
- Provide care services
- Carry out waste management services
- Provide new lettings
Our proven covid-safe working practices have been designed to keep customers and our staff safe and as part of this we will ask you some questions when you call us and provide you will some information and instruction for things to do before a member of staff visits your home, this includes making sure the room we will be working in is well ventilated.
At this time our offices and area shops remain closed to customers.

Please let us know if you, or anyone in your household has Covid-19 symptoms, are awaiting test results and the outcome of those results. This helps us to plan our services and to keep our staff safe.
We would also like to know if you are shielding so we can discuss any additional support you may need.
Hands Face Space
Around 1 in 3 people with Covid-19 have no symptoms and could be spreading it without knowing it. We all need to play a role in reducing the spread of Covid-19. Doing this will help protect your family, your community and save lives:
- Hands – Wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds
- Face – Cover your face in indoor settings
- Space – Staying 2m apart from others
