Geraint Williams - Environmental Services Supervisor, joined the Council as a fresh-faced apprentice before moving over to Wrekin when it was created in 1999.

For Wrekin's 25 year anniversary in March, we caught up with staff who've been with us since the very beginning, asking about their Wrekin journey and highlights over the years.

“I started as an Apprentice Carpenter at the old Wrekin Council. A lot has changed in that time – at the council we used to work with paper tickets that we used to have to keep in the vans."

"When we moved to Wrekin they brought in handheld devices which made things a lot easier. It was a pretty seamless transition."

Like many others of our orginial staff team, Gus agrees that it's the people at Wrekin that make it such a special place to work.

"One of the best things about working for Wrekin is the people – everyone is really helpful.”
