Former tenant debt

When you leave your home you should make sure that your rent account, and any other money you owe the Group, is cleared. If you have problems clearing these debts, contact your Housing Executive who may be able to help.

It is important that you make payments that you owe as debts may stop other social landlords from housing you in the future. We may ask a debt collection agency to collect the money on our behalf and we may consider getting a Money Judgment Order against you which could result in extra costs and affect your ability to get credit in the future.

We use income that we collect from former tenants’ debts to improve homes and neighbourhoods for existing tenants.
