Salary:                        £31,489 to £33,594 per annum depending on experience

Hours:                        36 hours per week

Overview:

As we continue to grow and expand, we are seeking a talented Assistant Accountant to join our finance department and contribute to our ongoing success.

The Role:

We are looking for someone who can play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. You will join an excellent team of 9 people and be responsible for various financial tasks such as  monitoring and completing budgets, supporting the Accountant and purchase ledger team along with providing guidance and support to new and existing staff.

Who are we looking for:

  • For this role we ask that you have a minimum of 5 GCSE, and have an AAT qualification or are studying towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred
  • Have proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or Team Leader role within a finance department
  • Sound understanding of relevant IT applications and other accountancy specific software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working within the Housing organisation or public sector would be desirable but not essential
